Slovenia Supports a Sustainable Future for Macedonia

23. 6. 2025

Following four intensive days in North Macedonia, the CMSR team and their local partners successfully completed a series of significant development projects. These projects will contribute to sustainable development, improve quality of life and strengthen the partnership between Slovenia and North Macedonia. During their visit, the delegation travelled to Kočani, Zletovica, Kriva Palanka, Aračinovo and Skopje.

Successfully completed developing projects included reducing water losses, constructing solar power plants in Kočani, installing solar panels on public buildings in Kriva Palanka, improving energy efficiency through renewable sources in Aračinovo and constructing a hydroelectric power plant as part of the Zletovica hydro system. These activities all contributed to reducing energy consumption from fossil sources, increasing the regions' energy self-sufficiency, protecting the environment and improving the quality of life of the local population.
