Plastic bags, plastic bottles... we only use them for a few minutes, but they take centuries to break down.

"Planet Against Plastic" is the slogan for this year's Earth Day, celebrated today in 192 countries worldwide.

The initiative to reduce plastic usage aims to take a comprehensive approach to tackling plastic pollution for the sake of both human health and the planet. Among its demands is a 60% reduction in plastic production by 2040, with the ultimate goal of ensuring a plastic-free future for the coming generations.

Are you aware that more plastic was produced in the last decade than during the entire 20th century? Plastic cannot decompose in nature but rather breaks down into smaller particles that remain in the environment for thousands of years. These tiny particulates eventually find themselves in the bodies of animals and even in ourselves!
